Description
Long Description: This Depot, which opened in August of 1892, was owned and operated by the Boston and Maine Railroad until September of 1958. At that time the city of Laconia purchased the building but continued to provide rail services until the last B+M passenger train to come to Laconia came on Jan 3, 1965. In 1963, Laconia began to renovate the station for use by the police deptment and the Laconia District Court. Both the police and the court remained in the building until 1979. http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM17EE
