The simple cell, for example, at Linjan near Isfahan, Iran, where the Sufi shaykh Pir-i Bakran lived and taught, was transformed after his death in 1303 into a shrine by the addition of an entrance corridor and an iwan.Single, monumental, blocked-up iwan in cemetery.
