Abstract

The Air Force is establishing a Joint Progress Office -- JPO -- to coordinate administrative activity for the Transition System Program. Col. R. Osgood will be chairman. The Lincoln Production Coordination Office has been designated as the contact point for administrative items (beyond technical matters handled by EDO-SO). The Air Force is studying adequacy of the proposed system with regard to operational needs of the Air Defense Command. This study is being made by a committee of generals who now head various Air Defense Divisions.
