dc.description | The last reigning Nizam, Osman Ali Khan died in February 1967. He lies buried in a small tomb built after his death in the cemetery of the Masjid-i Judi, built in 1937, very close to his King Kothi. It is not clear why he was not buried in the funerary vault of the Nizams in Mecca Masjid, nor is it clear if he willed so. The Nizam’s mother Zahra Begum (d. 1941), and his wife Azamunnisa, entitled Dulhan Pasha (d. 1955) are among others buried here. Seven inscriptions adore the mosque and the graves. | en_US |
