Political cartoon satirizing the 1783 coalition of Charles Fox and Lord Frederick North. The engraving depicts an English pantomime in which Harlequin (Fox) and Pantaloon (North) are performing. Fox holds a sword over a bust of King George III which is on a rectangular pedestal decorated with the royal arms. He is standing on a document and secretly passing a paper labeled "Prerogative" to North. Above the bust a crown and sceptre are suspended, attached to a small balloon. On the back wall of the stage is a portrait of Cromwell and on the side wall is a map of the "Independent States of America." Audience members [likely also specific political figures] are cheering "Bravo" and "Encore."en_US
