"Barracón Juanita," a shelter built by Comisario Narciso Matus (the Vaupés was a Comisaría at that time), named after Jean Jackson (who had complained about having to sleep in the open), as overnight shelter for people portaging between the headwaters of the Yi (tributary of the Vaupés River) and the Papurí River basin. 1970, Vaupés, Colombia
