General view; In Smith’s last, perhaps best-known series, the stainless-steel Cubis of the early 1960s such as Cubi xix (1964; London, Tate), his hand is present in the burnished surfaces, although necessarily excluded from the pre-cut shapes (a concession to his intractable material).
