General view of north side of the Plaza Principal; In the main square, the Plaza de la Constitución, which is thickly planted with trees, is the S Miguel Fountain (18th century). At the centre of the plaza is the Fuente de San MIguel, the archangel that was the patron saint of Puebla. Bordering the square are many colonial buildings and the Cathedral of Puebla compound.
