Brick mosque in centre of Damghan, thoroughly integrated in city fabric and entered through passageways leading off narrow lanes. Minaret is Seljuq and dated 1058; fabric of mosque itself is mostly later, c. 19C. Courtyard with single ivan, no lavish tilework or stucco is extant.
