Description
The large zig-zag pattern in this specimen is produced by twisting together four even numbered threads and four odd numbered threads. Although this seems complicated, the threads are picked up and twisted in the normal process of weaving a plain weave. This piece demonstrates how a skillful weaver could take full advantage of his medium regardless of its limitations.
