dc.description | Commissioned for the exhibition "Individuals: A Selected History of Contemporary Art, 1945-1986" at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles
December 10, 1986 - June 19, 1988
"Inside the Temporary Contemporary building of MOCA a 52 foot by 16 foot section of concrete floor was removed along the northeast wall. Three excavations approximately 9 feet deep and 16 feet wide were made in the earth to reveal the concrete footing which supported three steel columns. Stairs enabled viewers to descend into the excavations to observe where the concrete met the earth." | en_US |
