Collection scope and contents:
The collection consists of the background materials and final report of the Architecture Education Study, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in 1974 and concerned with the lack of a fit between architecture education and the demands of changing society and practice. Background materials include correspondence, board meeting agendas and minutes, papers, reports and interpretive essays, case studies of design studios, pilot study report, tape-recorded interviews with faculty and students, and drafts of the final report. Includes box list and item index.
