Print showing London Bridge at its opening on August 1 1831, with flags flying from the top of the bridge and crowds on the riverbank and in barges below. Green's balloon flies over the bridge to the right. The bridge scene is surrounded by a border design with floral and patterned motifs and the coat of arms of Ireland, the coat of arms of the United Kingdom bearing the motto of the Order of the Garter: "Honi soit qui mal y pense" [Evil be to him who evil thinks], and the coat of arms of Scotland, bearing the motto of the Order of the Thistle: "Nemo me impune lacessit" [No one attacks me with impunity].
