Description
Article from the April 4, 1840 issue of The Mirror about Charles Green's intended voyage across the Atlantic Ocean and the use of propellers and guide rope as a means of navigating a balloon. An accompanying illustration shows Green's balloon with attached steering mechanism and guide-rope. Due to an injury, Mr. Green never made the voyage.
