Broadside advertising a night ascent on June 3, 1839 at the Royal Standard Tavern by Richard Gypson. Mr. Blanchard, a "descendent of the celebrated Mons. Blanchard, the Inventor of the Parachute" will display his safety apparatus at the ascent. Other entertainments scheduled for the event include a strong man performance, a concert, gladiator feats, a comedy, a chemistry experiment exhibition, a ballet and fireworks.
