Description
Broadside advertising the first ascent of Mrs. Graham's Royal Victoria Balloon, to be held on September 12, 1837 in Lord's Cricket Ground, London. Also announced are "several experimental descents" by John Hampton in his new safety parachute, which is to be displayed on the day before the event in the Great Room of the Pavilion on site. Mrs. Graham is shown in her balloon.
