Collection scope and contents:
These records were assembled by Jack Kerrebrock, associate dean of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Engineering. They contain proposals and planning documents, solicitations for support from government agencies and corporations, and project reports. Correspondence, background materials, memoranda, design plans, and reports document the construction and test flights of the human powered aircrafts Michelob Light Eagle and Daedalus 88. Also included in the collection are photographs, motion picture film, correspondence, news clippings and other publicity about the flights.
