dc.descriptionDetail, round window with date 1606 in center of facade; ball finials on top of gable; Former city-arsenal building at the Singel in Amsterdam, which later served as the royal stables. The facade was designed by Hendrick de Keyser, 1606-1609. In 1940 the building became part of the Amsterdam University Library (Universiteitsbibliotheek Amsterdam) next to it, by written permission of the then-exiled Queen Wilhelmina.
