| dc.description | Distant context street view with the finial of the vimana (tower over the central shrine) at left center; A Hindu temple dedicated to Ganesha. Consecrated on 19 November 1801, the temple was built by the contractor Laxman Vithu Patil and funded by a rich Agri woman named Deubai Patil. The original structure of the Siddhivinayak Temple was a small 3.6 m x 3.6 m square brick structure with a dome-shaped brick sikhara. This expanded to a 2550 sq m temple complex; however in the 1950s and 60s, some of the land of the complex was sold. It is one of the richest temples in Mumbai, in annual donations.
