Overall view, Chateau d’Eau in front of the Palais de l`Électricité; Part of the Paris on Stage: 1889-1914 exhibition held June 19, 2013 to February 23, 2014. The Palais de l`Electricité was one of the most loved exhibits of the exhibition. Steam driven dynamos pumped the fuel necessary in running the entire exhibition. The top of the building was ornamented with the figure of a chariot led by hippogryphs and spewing multi-coloured flames; this is visible in the rendering with the fountains of the Chateau d’Eau in front; these were illuminated in red, white and blue by the Palais de l`Electricité and a lightshow could be performed with a keyboard control.
