Detail, view of pedestrian ramp and porch walkway next to arcade of inverted arches; The building is designated II or 2; this is the second of the Coachella Savings and Loan buildings by Williams. Known for its dramatic inverted arches, it is probably one of the most-photographed banks in the country. Williams also used an exciting water feature which gives the building a floating appearance. The building, which is now a branch of Chase Bank, has been designed with the intention of letting potential customers know that the business inside is progressive in nature. The style is reminiscent of the Palácio da Alvorada designed by Oscar Niemeyer, completed in 1958 and located in the capital city of Brasília, Brazil.
