dc.descriptionDetail, elevation view that runs across the bottom of the print; The central, bird's eye image of palace and grounds is surrounded by thirteen smaller details and a profile (elevation) view at the bottom. The large print is executed on multiple sheets of paper. The dating of this print is uncertain; 1690-1694 and/or 1700-1737. Romeyn de Hooghe not only created the etching of Het Loo Palace, (a royal hunting lodge), he also contributed to its architecture and was the designer of the gardens under the patronage of William III of Orange.
