Overall view of the nine "masts" next to pedestrian and bike path (Promenade Samuel-De Champlain); The work includes stainless steel rods painted in red, white and blue (the Tricolor) over thirteen feet high, with the top and crosspieces recalling a boat mast. Ornate weathervanes, radar reflectors and anemometers (wind gauges), hang from the "masts", evoking the relationship with the river and is a nod to navigation and its importance for the destiny of Quebec. Installed in 2008 for the 400th anniversary of the founding of Quebec, as part of the program for public art along the Promenade Samuel-De Champlain.
