dc.description | Detail, cupola on variant of model "Jonquille" (1425 sq. ft.); The firms credited with the project are Gagnon Letellier Cyr Mathieu Ricard, Architects and DAA Daniel Arbour & Associates Landscape Architects and Urban Design. From 1990-2010 Beauregard was a senior partner at IBI-DAA (Daniel Arbour & Associates) group; since 2011 she has an independent practice (Elise Beauregard architecte paysagiste LEED et Collaborateurs Inc.) focused on landscape architecture, urban design and urban ecology. Located along the boulevard Champlain, near the Notre-Dame de la Garde Park, Brown Basin is the place where General Wolfe and his men landed at Quebec in 1759 before the famous Battle of the Plains of Abraham. The park opened as part of the 400th anniversary of the founding of Quebec, in 2008. The park features a rebuilt quay, fishing pier, shoreline restoration, an interpretive center, pedestrian and bike paths, ice rink, and a promenade linking it to the Plains of Abraham (park to the north).
