Located along the boulevard Champlain, near the Notre-Dame de la Garde Park, Brown Basin is the place where General Wolfe and his men landed at Quebec in 1759 before the famous Battle of the Plains of Abraham. The park opened as part of the 400th anniversary of the founding of Quebec, in 2008. The park features a rebuilt quay, fishing pier, shoreline restoration, an interpretive center, pedestrian and bike paths, ice rink, and a promenade linking it to the Plains of Abraham (park to the north).
