dc.description | Overall raking view; Located at the edge of Gan Havradim (Rose Garden) in front of the Knesset. Created by Benno Elkan, a German-born British sculptor, the Parliament of the United Kingdom gave it to Israel in 1956. Built in the shape of the Menorah which appears in the Arch of Titus, it includes reliefs of some 30 important events, idioms, characters and terms from the Jewish history. It is considered a visual "textbook" of Judaism. Source: Wikipedia; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page (accessed 5/3/2013) | en_US |
