Couch for Blue Bedroom; Pencil and water-color; Inscr. above center, Price to be given for making in sycamore, mahogany, or walnut (these words crossed out and oak added in another hand); Part of the Dr. Thomas Howarth collection, sold at Christies, Feb. 17, 1994. "Thomas Howarth, professor, architectural historian, collector (b in England 1914, d at Toronto 21 July 2000). Howarth reawakened interest in the great Scottish architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928), through articles, a comprehensive monograph, exhibitions, and lifelong advocacy and collecting.
