Pyramid of the Sun, view looking up the south flank, from near the west end; The construction of at least one major structure, the Temple or Pyramid of the Sun, is attributed to the first 150 years CE. Although less than half the height of the Great Pyramid of Giza, it has a base of about the same area (about 50,000 sq. m) and dominates the ceremonial centre.
