The Sacred Stoa, view looking southeast over the Agora and the Sacred Stoa, from the platform of the Temple of Athena (this was 12 meters wide and 116 meters long building situated on the north side of the Agora and built 130 - 112 BCE); Priene was an ancient Greek city in W Asia Minor; under Roman & Byzantine rule before being subjugated by the Turks in the 13th century.
