Description
The Prytaneum, general view over the remains, from the north (here daily administrative operations were executed, the Boule could meet, and visitors of the State were entertained. It was built in the 2C BCE but has many alterations from the Roman period); Priene was an ancient Greek city in W Asia Minor; under Roman & Byzantine rule before being subjugated by the Turks in the 13th century.
