Urbino, eastern part on Monte Catria, general view depicting the Palazzo Ducale at its center (as seen from the western part on Monte Titano); Views of the city of Urbino, which was radically transformed by the construction of Federigo's great hilltop Palazzo Ducale (begun ca. 1454), starting with the east range flanking the built-up area along the road (widened in 1563; now Piazza Rinascimento) where S Domenico stands, and extending west down into the valley on a powerful substructure.
