Description
The face of the angel; On his accession in 1655 Alexander VII (from the Chigi family) put Bernini in charge of the decoration of S Maria del Popolo. The only works there from Bernini's hand, however, are the marble niche statues of the prophets Daniel (1655-1657) and Habakkuk (1655-1661) in the Chigi Chapel.
