Close side view, depicting the entry; "This is Holabird and Roche's oldest surviving building in Chicago. Sparse in decoration, its liveliness is based on its window treatments. The massive bays are trimmed with red terra-cotta. This 14-story fireproof riveted steel frame building of dark brown masonry has tile arch floor slabs, ornamental red terra-cotta and a sandstone base.
