Description
General view; Furness is remembered for his eclectic, often idiosyncratically scaled buildings and for his influence on Louis Sullivan (his pupil) and the acclaimed 20th theater designer William Harold Lee. Although much of Furness' architectural designs were uniquely his own creation, Gothic Revival was a prevailing theme throughout. A National Register building restored in 1999, under architect Voith Mactavish. Now a gallery which houses a portion of the university's collection and provides functional spaces for formal receptions and meeting facilities.
