dc.description | Close view of the bridge, northwest side; After 1980, associated with Borja Huidobro, Chemetov won several major commissions through competitions. The Ministry building is located between the river and the Gare de Lyon, close to the Palais Omnisports de Bercy by Andrault and Parat. Like the Evry urban project and many of his other housing schemes, it was designed as an urban complex, incorporating a spine, like a viaduct, bridging from the river to the railway. Low-rise, narrow, rectilinear buildings are placed in a grid at right angles on one side of the spine, with landscaping on the other.
