Description
Interior wall elevation, music room, east and west side, ink and watercolor wash (plate 9); "In 1901 the Zeitschrift fur Innendekoration promoted a competition for the design and decoration of a House for a Lover of Art (Haus Eines Kunstfreundes). Although the competition was won by Baillie Scott, a well known English architect, it was Mackintosh's design which aroused the greatest interest and controversy." Comments for Archivision by Thomas Howarth. The book was part of Dr. Howarth's collection and the model built for class study under direction of Dr. Howarth. The house was actually constructed for the first time, to Mackintosh's plans in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow (1989-1996).
