Description
General view, from southeast; In 1608-1611, with Giovanni Fontana as engineer, Ponzio constructed the Acqua Paola on the Janiculum Hill. It consists of a free-standing five-bay block surmounted by a large dedication tablet, supporting a pedimented coat of arms. The large water-basin dates from 1690.
