Description
In 1855, the first collections of the museum were acquired and housed in a room in the city hall. In 1930 the museum building, completed by the architect Castelet in the style of a Greco-Roman villa, was opened as the Musée Gustave Mercier. In 1975, it was renamed Musée Cirta.
