Description
Erected under President Sukarno. Design incorporates the ideas of "Lingga" and "Yoni". The walls of the surrounding yard feature reliefs of Indonesian history. The Museum of National History is at the base of the monument. There is a Hall of Independence inside the monument, and it is topped by an eternal flame.
