"The Friday Mosque (also known as the mosque of the Old Maydan) was constructed in the 11th century during the period of Saljuq rule; the minaret is dated 1073–4 and the stucco mihrab may be contemporary."Round minaret with lozenge pattern in brickwork, 3 inscription bands together near bottom. Restored top has a band of glazed tile and a polygonal pavilion.
