Broadside advertising the ascension of the balloon "Le Pole Nord" [North Pole] from the Champ-de-Mars in Paris on June 27, 1869. Proceeds from the event, organized by balloonists Wilfrid de Fonvielle and Gaston Tissandier, will be used to support Gustave Lambert's North Pole ballooning expedition. Illustration depicts "Le Pole Nord" and a second balloon in flight.
