Page from an illustrated article on the history of aeronautics by Gaston Tissandier, "Les aérostats et la navigation aérienne." The article was originally published in the January 1, 1885 issue of Paris Illustré, and included several prints from his own collection. The illustrations show the Montgolfier balloon and Dupuy De Lôme's dirigibles.
