Close view of the base; A breakthrough in Parent's career came when he met André Bloc, editor of L'Architecture d'aujourd'hui, who in 1953 gave him responsibility for some sections of that journal and another review, Aujourd'hui. Together they designed Bloc's summer home (1959) in Antibes and the Maison de l'Iran (1961) at the Cité Universitaire, Paris, two metal structures that are elegant interpretations of Mies van der Rohe's work in the USA.
