"...Masud's son Bahram Shah (1117-1152) emulated his father and built a similar two-story tower about 600 meters (660 yards) to the west. It follows the shape of Masud's tower and has a similar foundation inscription encircling the top. Bahram Shah's tower is distinguished from the prototype by larger panels in which the bricks were laid in simpler geometric shapes and by the absence of words." view from below, sweeping view up tower, 1983
