"Schapiro and Brody reassembled elements from their Dollhouse Room, a house within a house and a world within a world of its own. The Dollhouse consists of six rooms under a triangular roof. In each elaborately constructed and decorated space, the safety and comfort associated with home vie with its unnamed terrors. Birds peck at rocks. A rattlesnake curls up on the floor of the parlor. Outside a window, a grizzly bear regards the baby in a crib. Downstairs ten men peer into the kitchen. A man models nude in the skylighted studio, bananas at his feet. An artist lives here."
