Anyway, I had wanted to explore a violent, misogynistic direction, a la de Sade + the boys; instead everything seems too "loaded" about sex/violence. I guess that the successful surrealistic ploy here would be to diffuse the ugly-reality of misogyny by twisting the reality-surreal! - Voila! - Theories, theories, theories...It doesn't seem to work for me. - Maybe because it's already been done! That's why everything seems trite + contrived!
