Airport Center Drive looking north at the signage for the business; A retrofit residence that sits on top of the office portion of Palm Springs Airport Self-Storage, called the Skybox for its balcony views of the airport. The second-floor residence was built in the tradition of an owner or manager living "over the store," but the residents aren't involved in the business. The balcony which serves as a sort of observation tower is the highlight; the structure echoes the Mid-Century Modern style prevalent in Palm Springs. Cioffi is known locally for his "new desert modernist" architectural designs.
