Detail, head, hand and torso; Photographed in the Rijksmuseum garden as part of the 22nd June 2013 - 29th September 2013 temporary exhibit, "Henry Moore Outside." The exhibition features 12 monumental works on loan from the Henry Moore Foundation (identified by the Foundation accession numbers). This work: Foundation number LH 810. Moore commented, "In my reclining figures I have often made a sort of looming leg, the top leg in the sculpture projecting over the lower leg, as a large branch of a tree might move outwards from the main limb, or as a seaside cliff might overhang from below if you are on the beach" Source: Henry Moore Foundation; http://www.henry-moore.org/ (accessed 7/12/2014)
