Context view, small rockery in Alice's Garden, Torsion at center; Her sculptures often abstractly reference the human body, incorporating found objects such as doorknobs, lamp parts, vessels, and furniture legs that suggest the form the completed sculpture will assume. While Dunigan sculpts primarily in plaster and found metal, Guardian, Hearing Trumpet, and Torsion are among her pieces in bronze. These three sculptures “return ‘legs’ of furniture back to animal form” Each unique sculpture stands alone as an individual character, while also relating to the group.
