Overall view; In 1886 MacNeil moved to Cornell where he became an instructor in industrial art and modeling at Cornell University from 1886 to 1888. After studying in France he relocated to Long Island for the rest of his career. He was noted as a sculptor for various World's Fairs. Cornell Library holds his personal papers.
