dc.descriptionClose side view of upper torso of athlete; Foro Italico includes: Stadio Olimpico with the capacity of 100,000 spectators; (it was used for the 1960 Olympics and reconstructed for the World Cup in 1990) and Stadio dei Marmi with the 60 colossal statues of athletes gifted by the Italian provinces, able to accommodate 20,000 spectators. The other facilities include open-air and enclosed swimming-pools, lawn-tennis and basketball courts, running tracks, fencing halls and gymnasium. Beside the entrance to the Olympic Stadium is marble monolith with the inscription "Mussolini Dux" (1932, by Constantino Constantini); it is 17m high without the base, and 36m high with the base.en_US
